About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our medical professionals by performing a range of administrative and clinical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, with a focus on creating a positive and welcoming environment for our patients. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, obtaining patient information, and maintaining patient records. You'll also be responsible for keeping examination areas clean, orderly, and well-stocked, as well as taking patients in and out of examination rooms and doing vitals on patients. Additionally, you'll educate patients on the services provided by the clinic, support doctors and other healthcare professionals, and prepare laboratory specimens.

Key responsibilities include answering phone calls, managing patient inquiries, preparing patient files, and assisting our medical professionals with patient care. Our ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

We offer flexible schedules with the possibility of day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays. This position is available for full-time, part-time, casual, or permanent employment, and remote work is not available for this position.

Requirements

  • MOA diploma or equivalent experience

  • Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records software

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Customer service experience

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with MedAccess or other medical software is an asset

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records is required, preferably Telus EMR
