We offer adult comprehensive formal assessments of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) symptoms for diagnostic purposes. The ADHD assessment utilizes psychological and objective cognitive testing that are used to identify ADHD symptoms and functional impairments. Testing is administered by fully trained master’s level clinicians in consultation with psychology then reviewed and interpreted by psychiatry.
The assessment requires up to 3 hours of your time including a structured interview and computer-administered testing. You will require two appointments, one virtual and one in person. You will also need to provide email contact for someone who knows you well to complete an online observer assessment, this test only takes 15 minute to complete.
An evaluation report for adult ADHD will be provided including interpretation of the psychological and cognitive testing alongside with medical management treatment recommendations for confirmed responsible diagnoses. This consultation report will be sent to the initial referrer.
A referral from your family doctor is required for an ADHD assessment. A GP can refer you to the clinic for an assessment if you have been experiencing ongoing symptoms associated with ADHD since childhood, your symptoms cannot be better explained by another mental health diagnosis, and your symptoms significantly affect your daily living.
Clinic staff will contact you once the referral is received and reviewed. You will be asked screening questions to ensure the clinic is the right fit for you. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the testing and assessment process.
